Simply Skateboarding will offer our regular range of Skateboard Lessons at Eastland, for term 2 2013.

Group Lessons run on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights from 4pm – 5pm and Saturday mornings.

Private Lessons are available most other times by appointment.

All Simply Skateboarding coaches are acredited Level 1 Skateboard Coaches through Skateboarding Australia and the Australian Sports Commission. Simply Staff also hold a current Working with Children Check.

Bookings are available online. All participants must have a completed waiver to participate in any activity delivered by Simply.

Always wanted to learn to skate but never had the chance?????… because we love skateboarding and we’re passionate about female skateboarding we’re making 2013 the ‘Year of the Female Skateboarder’.

So what does that mean for you? Well it means you no longer have an excuse not to skateboard because on wednesday nights we offer FREE ‘ladies only sessions’ from 5pm – 6pm.

The sessions are a great way to introduce yourself to skateboarding in an all girl, friendly safe environment. The lessons are also after hours, meaning you can learn away from prying eyes!

Beginners are welcome and skateboards and helmets are all provided.

Simply, in partnership with Nillumbik Council will facilitate the activities. The activities will also be an opportunity for existing young skateboarders and BMXers to learn skills in skate park related events and management.

We have the retail area with everything you need for your board as well as clothes, shoes, hats etc.

Then there’s the  Skate Space which was built by Tom Flaherty, (aka VB Man) so it’s perfect. A spine with rollover double mini, wall ride, plus a four stair with movable street elements, will ensure hours of skating in the comfort of Eastland Shopping Centre. The spine also has a long  removable piece of coping to bridge the channel (pictured below) which is loads of fun.

We also have The Skate Lounge which means you can chill for a bit between sessions.

Utilised for a variety of purposes, we take all the fuss out of your event providing a mobile Skate Park that can be set up almost anywhere!! We do Festivals, Fetes, Schools and even Birthday Parties.

In 2011 we ran the Simply Squirell Skateboard Finder most months, however maybe we made the clues too hard, cos the last two months decks were never claimed!!

We’ll be starting the Secret Squirell again in May… Clues come out the first of the month!
